One Minute Bottom Line
|A book worth purchasing for beginners to kick start Kinect programming.
I recently read the book Kinect in Motion - Audio and Visual tracking by example and I was pleased with the amount and flow of information it has about Kinect for Windows SDK. The book is encapsulated with enough information for beginners to kick start Kinect for Windows programming.
It has a detailed information about Color Image, IR Image, Depth Image, Skeletal Tracking, Voice Recognition and Accelerometer Data. It allows you to play with all feeds and get best of them altogether. The book has simplified examples and a very easy language to understand and learn.
Being in this field of Natural Interaction for almost two years, I specially liked the basic examples of sphere effect on color image and gesture recognition, because these examples encourage to work beyond the basis of those algorithms and build some cool things. Well done Clemente and Massimo! I appreciate your work. For those who want to start some development with Kinect I would recommend purchasing this book. It's worth it.
